About Stayton Pest Services

Established in 1991, the owners of Stayton Pest Services represent a second generation in the pest control industry. That means, we rely on our experience and training when it comes to providing our "No Bugs Guarantee" service for you. And our customer service philosophies are second to none.

Lawn Care

The health of your lawn is our main concern. That’s why our Lawn & Landscape Care Program may be different from what you’ve experienced with other landscape maintenance companies.

Even though an evenly green lawn may look healthy, there may be problems or conditions that will cause future lawn problems. We are skilled at diagnosing these problems before they get out of control.

On our initial visit, we will complete a lawn analysis profile that will detail the results of the inspection and our recommendations for treatment. We treat only if necessary.

Our program involves two services: Residential Lawn Program; Signature Lawn & Shrub Program.

Residential Lawn Program

Fertilization
In order to provide a more even green throughout the year, we will provide fertilization to keep your lawn green and healthy. For your convenience, we’ll even blow fertilizer off your sidewalks and driveways!

Pest Control
We use integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to control Fire ants, Chinch bugs, Sod webworms, Mole crickets, Grubs and other pests. These techniques require inspections, identification and treatment with the latest, most advanced materials – only if necessary.

We will not provide routine spraying because this eliminates beneficial insects such as lady bugs, earwigs & big-eyed bugs.

Weed Control
We treat to control many common broad leaf weeds. Your lawn will receive pre- and post-emergent weed control between Fall and Winter. However, due to the nature of these hard-to-control weeds, complete elimination cannot be guaranteed. Methods to control nuisance grasses are limited to killing and resodding only.
During the summer, we will provide spot control of weeds as necessary. Proper mowing and watering practices are key to weed reduction. We will apply materials to control weeds but cannot realistically eliminate all weeds.

Disease control
We will control diseases such as Rust, Gray Leaf Spot and Brown Patch only as necessary. Control of Root Rot and Stem Rot in lawns, shrubs or trees is available upon request. Click here for details about healthy roots.

Signature Lawn & Shrub Program (includes Residential Lawn Program)

Fertilization
For mature palms, we will apply a complete slow-release, granular fertilizer formulated for palms. Nutrient deficiencies will be treated with supplemental applications as necessary. We fertilize new shrubs four times a year for the first four years and established shrubs with a low nitrogen fertilizer with minor elements, in the fall and spring.

Pest Control
Our control program targets Aphids, mealy Bugs, Whitefly, Caterpillars, Spider Mites, Scale and others. We use IPNM strategies as covered under Lawn Pest Control above.

Disease Control
Curative fungicides will be applied only when necessary. Overhead watering of shrubs is not recommended.

Your Important Role
Landscape diseases generally originate from overwatering, watering at times other than the early morning hours, excessive precipitation and/or over-fertilization. Stayton technicians are skillfully trained to regulate the amount of fertilizer applied. In addition, we provide specific recommendations to help you help your lawn with appropriate watering and mowing. Click here for details about calibrating your sprinkler system.

Satisfaction Guaranteed
We guarantee that we’ll control the weeds, pests and diseases as listed in your contract with us unless otherwise stated on the lawn analysis sheet. We seek to monitor levels and provide control (where necessary) of weeds and pests that have the potential to damage your landscape. If you are not completely satisfied with the results of your Stayton service, we will return at no extra charge. If the problem persists, we will continue to work to solve the problem to your satisfaction, or we will return the cost of your last periodic service at your request.
